Occupy Wall Street. Occupy LA. Occupy South Park?!

What do all these great leaders, icons and individuals all have in common?

Deliberate or not, these great leaders not only have affected their times, with regards to war and injustice, but the right now during the Twenty First Century throughout the world.

People from all walks of life, of different races, genders, sexuality, political views and religion, are coming together, striving for change through peaceful revolution. Though as peaceful as their actions are, those who are tired of the government for a multitude of reasons are demanding their rights, their country, their freedom, and having violence perpetrated against them.

Occupy Wall Street is not just happening in New York, but Los Angeles and other cities around the world. These movements are “people-empowered” movements that have been going on through the World’s communities for centuries. However, they are getting more and more recognition from the general masses thanks to alternate media outlets. Occupy Wall Street has been inspired by recent, popular uprisings by Egypt and Tunisia.

As serious as any protesting is especially to the protestors, and despite the violent opposition from local law enforcement, there are many out there who try to place a humorous spin on such events and ideas, whether maliciously intended or not. Despite what the creators of South Park personally believe about Occupy Wall Street, they, unlike the rest of the general media, will give it attention even if it requires poking fun at both sides of the matter.

In all situations of life, whether viewed as good or bad, you must be able to smile and laugh now. Some who have trouble expressing themselves utilize humor to do so. That is exactly what the creators of South Park have done.

To top off the humor and message, there is also Occupy South Park Merchandise available. We are not sure if there are any donations made to support the protestors (food and poster board) or local law enforcement (more mace and night sticks), who are trying to stop the peaceful protestors, but happiness, laughter and joy can make a change.
